History and Upbringing:
As her older brother was so perfect her parent's didn't need another child. Why not just hand her to the ever so lovely nannys? What Katherine wants- Katherine gets. As long as it isn't attention. Children don't need that. They are just another thing to make parent's look even bigger in the world.
Neither of her parents were involved in the war- probably too scared. They are rich but only through boring ministry jobs. Dinnertimes are painful for Katherine as they consist of her brother (Daniel) being praised and herself being ignored, except to ask what she has done all term at that expensive boarding school of hers.
Current State of Mind:
Katherine wants attention. She is NOT going to shut up and let her parents be happy with their perfect little fake family. She will get attention. Whatever the cost. She has never been in a meaningful relationship - just thinks about the physical. Really, she just wants to be loved, but is too scared to try. She is really clever but purposefully gets bad grades when she wants.
She enjoys transfiguration and potions- so messes around in them most. For fun she likes to bully the younger years, talk with her friends and (in secret of course) read :O! These are either old Russian classics or storys/poems of passionate yet depressing love (Think Robert Browning or Wuthering Heights).
